Possibly: A loose front tooth should be addressed especially for someone who is only 29. Talk to your dentist to see what can be done to tighten this tooth. You may be a good candidate for perio protect which has been shown to reduce gum line infection/bacteria and often tighten teeth without surgery. www.perioprotect.com.

If there...: Was hard debris holding the teeth together, then it is possible to have to teeth move more. Depending on the situation, it can get better and in some cases even get worse.

No: If the tooth is loose, it's loose because of loss of periodontal support, not because of the scaling and root planing (srp). If the damage to the tooth is so bad that calculus is what's "holding it in", then the perio issue is severe and the tooth/teeth most probably could be lost. If the srp is not done, the tooth loss will be guaranteed. The only hope is better oral hygiene and dmd visits q3m.
