How's it going?: Hopefully, he is not feeling worse for having stopped the medication, but there are warnings about withdrawal symptoms. It is never a great idea to ignore them, but if he's okay, that is good. There are many unpleasant side effects with that drug, so it is understandable - but if his problems are still bad - he should see a therapist and try other methods. If he's ok, that's good. What's your ? ?

Risperdal: I would not advise suddenly stopping the medication if he has been on it that long. If side effects occur, they need to be discussed with his doc.

Gynecomastia: It is called gynecomastia and not everyone gets it. Its better to discuss risks and benefits with physician as some medications cause it more then others but it doesnt mean he will in fact get it it just means there is a small chance.
