After taking an antibiotic for a tooth, will the pain come back?

Yes, and worse: Antibiotics for tooth infections do not solve a problem or fix a tooth, they just take care of the symptoms. The problem is still there. If left untreated, the pain comes back worse. See a dentist for care.

It depends: Taking an antibiotic means that there is an infection and the offending tooth needs to be treated definitively to hopefully prevent recurrence. Taking an antibiotic and not following up with proper treatment is not advised. Hope this helps.
