Worried: I am assuming you are wondering if taking antibiotics changed the efficacy of the birth control pills you were taking. Antibiotics can have such effect. At this point you might want to see your medical doctor to rule out any other medical problems first. That is the only logical way.

Antibiotic?: The nausea may have been caused by the antibiotic, but there are other possibilities. You must let the treating doctor/dentist know that you are feeling so poorly following his procedure .Believe me, he wants to know you have been sick since his procedure. If it was the antibiotic, you should start to feel better within 24-48 hrs. Call your dentist and let them know you are sick.

Call your Dentist: Antibiotics are excellent for reducing "bad" bacteria, but while doing so, also kill the "good" bacteria in your digestive tract which may lead to nausea, upset stomach or diarrhea. I always have my patients who are on antibiotics either eat yogurt or take pro-biotics to help. But-- never have them within 2 hours before or after taking your antibiotic.
