A member asked:

Does hyperthyroid have anything to do with taste/smell?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hyperthyroidism: Can affect every organ and process in your body - however it usually doesn't affect taste or smell. Get your hyperthyroidism corrected with either radioiodine or antithyroid drugs and see if your taste and smell improve. If not, it's due to something else.
