Could my tragus piercing be the cause of my sore throat and swollen gland?

Piercing: The tragus is part of the ear. A piercing can certainly introduce bacteria into your tissues and they can spread to lymph nodes, but the lymph nodes that are likely to be affected would be just in front of the ear. It would not be very likely for you to have a sore throat as a result of such a piercing.
