Hi,for past two days i have had very sore/ scratchy throat.much difficulty swallowing. swollen glands under jaw, ears blocked & cough. what can i do to treat cause? how long should i ride it out for before getting medical assistance?

Suspect Viral headco: Your symptoms are like a virus infection causing you to have what is called Common head Cold. This is a common illness that affects all of us once or twice a year. Sometimes it can be Flu, which is more severe.For treatment, take lots of warm liquids(soups, tea, coffee) and take a decongestant medication. Paracetamol pills will help to relieve the symptoms which may last 3-5 days, then go away.
