Sinus drainage: It really depends...If your sinus drainage is not infected or excessive, you may very well not even notice it at all. However, if it is infected or excessive or caused by allergies, you may certainly smell or even taste it. If your mucous is also thick because of being a little dry, this can cause the mucous to collect into a mucous plug or ball and these, too, can be easier to smell or taste.
