Depends: Gluteal implants are safer than injected substances but not safer than fat transfers. Butt injections are not approved in the unites states. That means if you are getting them, it is by an unlicensed practitioner. Every year in my area there are one or two deaths due to butt injections.

Be careful: Please do not entertain seeking injections any where but in a physicians office. Most injections are of your own fat. Free injections of silicone or other fillers are extremely dangerous. Seek the consultation of a board certified plastic surgeon.
