Motherwort: This is a plant of the mint family. Been used as uterine tonic & for prevention of uterine infection (hence the name). It relaxes smooth muscle due to its leonurine alkaloid content which is a vasodilator. It is also used in chinese medicine to promote relaxation, combat stomach gas & cramps & for insomnia. I am not aware of using it for bipolar do.
