Clarification?: Only had them on for 2 weeks, or off for 2 weeks? If on for only 2 wks, any looseness should subside within weeks... Enamel should not be damaged if brackets are removed carefully... Teeth will become worse if you are not treating the disorder... If you had a long treatment, then same as above, except that teeth can take time to "settle in". This could be expedited by one versed in equilibration.

No Problem: If you remove ceramic braces after 2 weeks there should be no problem at all. At this point very little movement has happened.

Ceramic/ steel=same: Once treatment is complete retainers should be worn to stabilize the correction. Bones need to 'heal' around the teeth. Retainers can be looked at as an insurance policy for maintenance.

Probably not: Removing braces after only two weeks should not normally cause a problem. However, ceramic braces must be removed carefully, because if not, enamel could be damaged.

Should be fine: If removed by an orthodontist. You you try to take them off yourself, you will risk serious damage to your teeth.

Why: Why do you want to remove the braces? Removing them means your malocclusion will not be corrected. Clear aligners will not work for everyone, and they are only about 1/2 as effective as braces. Now that you've made a commitment to improving your health it would be a shame to quit. Yes, untreated malocclusions will usually worsen with time.
