Salivary stone: Depending upon the size of the stone or if there is more than one. It can be slightly uncomfortable but it is much more uncomfortable living with the salivary stone. You will be given anesthesia and you won't feel a thing. Good luck.

No, Not really: The removal of the stone or sialith is something that you have to get numb for, but it should not have any real lasting pain after the removal. I would imagine that the pain and worry that the bump would cause is 10 times more then what the pain would be to get it out. Have you tried hot tea with lots of lemon juice to soak the floor of your mouth and stimulate the natural flush of the stone?
