A member asked:

Strontium ranelate, tamoxifen, raloxifene - are the side effects the same regarding dvt, heart attacks etc &which would offer more protection for bone?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Raloxifene: Of all the products you mentioned, Raloxifene has the most well established record and is fda approved to improve bone density. Unfortunately, its ability to do so appears weaker than bisphosphanate products, teriparitide (forteo) of prolia. The other products you mentioned are not fda approved bone building products. Strontium is not available in the us as an anti-osteoporotic agent.
