Jaw Pain: There is no way to diagnose your jaw pain over the internet. Also no way to know if it is dental or medical in origin. Not sure why you have been waiting so long. It's better to find out the cause asap and see what can be done to getting you feeling better and out of pain. Depending upon whether or not you have other symptoms and your last dental\medical checkup-? I would start by seeing a dentist.

Oral surgeon/ENT: Not normal. Need diagnosis. See oral surgeon or ENT doc ASAP for diagnosis. If TMJ problem, see TMJ expert. Any dentist can be a TMJ expert with the proper training and experience. Most commonly, oral surgeons, prosthodontists, and orofacial pain specialists. Ask your MD, your dentist and your dental society for referrals.
