Sounds like TMJ!: If the pain is in front of your ear(s) and your jaw locks open or closed, you are suffering from TMJ (called tmd by dentists). Regardless of where the pain is, you absolutely need to see a dentist asap for correct diagnosis and proper treatment as pain is a lousy way to live!
