See below: You can soak the abscess with hot salt water to promote drainage. If there is surrounding soft tissue infection or cellulitis characterized by redness, swelling, pain and warmth antibiotics prescribed by a doctor are necessary. You are 29 years old. You need to grow up and see a doctor when it is needed.
