How long does an abscess in skin last? if taking antibiotic,abscess is bandaged, & constantly draining on its own,is med procedure needed? 3-4 days ago it was so painful (upper leg), couldn't walk. since its draining the pressure is relieved a bit?

Hard to say: An abscess can persist or recur until the "rhine" or outer capsule of the abscess is removed. Some small abscesses will resolve when they drain spontaneously or with antibiotics. Others will require surgical exploration with destruction & removal of that irhine structure before healing can occur.
