I am on 20mg of lexapro, (escitalopram) been on it for all of three maybe four months and it makes me very angry. have no patience, and my temper is bad. why?

Please tell your dr : Some people do react to ssri's this way. Aggression & irritability mean that this is likely not the right medication for you. It is important that your prescriber be made aware. It would be good for your provider to explore further for mood disorders.

Lexapro (escitalopram) anger: If lexapro/escitalopram has made you irritable, it has destabilized your mood. Sometimes, if the dose is reduced the irritability will resolve. The goal of treatment is to make you better without harm. Anger is not better. Discuss trying progressively lower doses, and if anger not resolve, then discuss other meds/treatmemt options.
