Unclear: For Lexapro (escitalopram) like other anti-depressants it may take up to 6 weeks before treatment failure can be declared. Even then, if the dose of the Lexapro (escitalopram) is too low, then a higher dose must be tried with another time period of 4-6 weeks before non-efficacy is determined.
