High cholesterol: Go to http://hp2010.Nhlbihin.Net/atpiii/calculator.Asp to calculate your risk for a heart attack over the next 10 years. <10% is low risk while >20% is high risk. If latter, goal LDL is <100mg/dl. If former, goal LDL is <160mg/dl. Focus on that 1st. Use nutrition & exercise to trim your waist which will lower triglycerides (<150) & raise hdl. Also need to lower (optimize) blood pressure & sugars.
