Grumpy: There are numerous reasons why people may get grumpier as they age: pain, stress, illness, increased difficulty doing what they enjoy due to physical disabilities, life burdens, worries for themselves and loved ones, excessive responsibilities, medications and illnesses (etoh, dementia, depression, stroke, chronic pain, etc) that interfere with healthy coping abilities. Seek help for them!

Experience: Older people feel they have more experience and if their advice is not accepted they are grumpy. However, do not put all of them in the same box. Wait till you get older.
