Grumpy: There are numerous reasons why people may get grumpier as they age: pain, stress, illness, increased difficulty doing what they enjoy due to physical disabilities, life burdens, worries for themselves and loved ones, excessive responsibilities, medications and illnesses (etoh, dementia, depression, stroke, chronic pain, etc) that interfere with healthy coping abilities.
