Hard to tell!: Good morning, in a child with cystic fibrosis cold and allergy symptoms are as common with other children. The difference as you are aware, is the difficulty in deciding if there is any infection of the lungs along with symptoms of allergy. If there is no fever, and the secretions are color-less, and if the child does not look sick it is likely that it is only due to allergy.

Pls see answer: There is an overlap between the symptoms of allergy and cf. Allergic symptoms tend to be associated with a particular exposure that triggers an allergic response. The discoloration under the eyes may be caused by allergies, infection, lack of sleep, iron deficiency. If the area around the eye is red and swollen, it is best to check with your doctor. Fever > 101 is not usual for an allergic resp, .
