A member asked:

Can a 17 year old see a gynecologist without her mother present?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes (mostly...): Because texas has it's own unique set of laws regarding women's health (i would say oppress, but not enough space to discuss...), i looked it up. According to a blog from texas children's hospital: "in the state of texas, treatment/discussion regarding sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy (but not birth control) can stay completely confidential.".
