Interesting issue: In some states, you can obtain private women's health from clinics like planned parenthood even before you turn 18. In most states, you can consent to health care at 18, but if you use your parents insurance, they will get an insurance statement with some data on the visit. In my state, your parents must have your written permission to gain access to the health information in your office chart.
