Big vs Small: An endoscopic procedure is done by making a very small incision or 2 into the abdomen and inserting a scope like instrument to visualize the structures and small instruments to do the surgical procedure, recovery is usually much faster compared to an open procedure requiring a large incision to gain access to the body.
