Quicker recovery: The procedure is designed to cause less operative trauma to your back. Smaller holes will heal faster. If your main symptoms are leg pain, numbness or weakness and your MRI shows a disc or bony impingement of the nerve that goes to that part of your leg, then you have a reasonable chance of decreasing you leg symptoms. Results re back pain getting better are much less.
