A member asked:

Because i have exhausted other options, i am interested in endoscopic disimpaction. is this procedure widely available in even small cities, only available occasionally with specialists in big cities, or a rare procedure that is unlikely to be done?

Endoscopic disimpaction by flexible or rigid sigmoidoscopy with instrumentation is not a cure for chronic constipation and it is not an elective procedure. It is only used when patient has fecal impaction which is beyond the reach of digital disimpaction. Take care.
