No and no: In january 2012 the cdc issued a final statement that Morgellons is not an infectious disease...Thus no role for antibiotics. If you are interested, follow this link: http://en.Wikipedia.Org/wiki/morgellons good luck.

Psychiatric basis: Having seen several cases of this syndrome, the Mayo clinic has recently published a case series regarding Morgellon's, concluding that an infectious cause is not there. In many cases, patients with this condition are very, very resistant to even consider a psychiatric cause for this awful affliction of perceiving worms are coming out of the pores of their skin.
