An anti-coagulant: Vitamin k is an essential vitamin which acts upon the blood clotting chain. Deficiency is uncommon but can occur in the nutritionally deprived. Most normal diets supply this vitamin which is rich in leafy vegetables and cruciforms. Deficiency causes diffuse bleeding.
