What is the amount of vitamin k in human breast milk ?

Varies: Vit k is a fat soluble vitamin found in higher concentrations in colostrum, first milk letdown, i'm the first few days of lactation. After that, content lowers but still present. The committee on nutrition of the american academy of pediatrics has recommended 0.5-1.0 mg vit k1 be administered to all newborns shortly after birth to help with newborn vit k levels. Breastfeeding always recommended.
