Palliative TX: If you have a canker sore there are palliative txs. Some meds for shortening duration. A cold sore which is herpes also has meds to shorten duration and palliative txs. Saltwater rinses, etc. Are good for healing and soothing, as can some otc gels that have topical anesthetic and keep irritants off for a while. Just have to keep clean and wait the 5-10 days. Sorry.

Salt water: The best thing for a clod sore is warm water and salt. Otc ointement, can give you temporary relief.

May help: Warm salt water rinse will calm any inflammation in your mounth.
