I am 50+. my average bp is 110/70. 02 weaks ago it went up to 140/90. but since then i keep a reord. now average is 120/80. is it normal?

Blood pressure: It fluctuates depending on your stress level, what you were doing, what other medications you took that day. Keep track and determine your pattern, i would not stress out from one reading.

Not to fret.: 120/80 is a good blood pressure. Remember that our blood pressure fluctuates a lot. I have patients that come in with sky high blood pressures- they are running late, hit traffic, smoke a cigarette, drink a bunch of coffee, run up the stairs, are nervous to get their blood pressure taken, are stressed, etc. All these things can contribute to the BP reading going up temporarily.
