Many are HPV: Many oral cancers are caused by hpv. A biopsy specimen can be tested to help determine if it might by hpv related. Many oral cancers are cureable. We rate or 'stage' cancer based on size, location, and any spread to lymph nodes in the neck and beyond. Larger tumors with more spread are harder to cure. Many believe that hpv related cancers are easier to cure. Start with an exam by an ent.
