Non cancer: Your cough is not due to cancer. You mayhave a postnasal drip which is responsible for your cough. Use salt water nose drops four times daily and congratulations on becoming an ex smoker.

Coughing blood: This is unlikely to be cancer but nonetheless needs to be followed up with your physician and possibly a lung specialist.
