Unlikely: Strep throat does not typically behave this way. It's likely you have a certain amount of mucus dripping from your nose or sinuses causing irritation of the throat. As the day goes on, mucus no longer pools in the back of your throat because you then swallow it. <i know it's kinda gross> typically allergies are the cause, but there are several other causes that a physician can help you sort out.

GER?: You need to be evaluated for ger, gastro-esophageal reflux, which could cause morning sore throat that resolves later in the day. Allergies is another possibility
