Broken foot: It immobilizes correctly and if you were compliant it should of healed. Some patients have un-diagnosed osteopenia and that could be one of the issues. I'd recommend you discuss that with your doctor and possible tests you may need.

After: That much damage i would expect swelling. Swelling is normal from trauma and specially in foot and ankle due to gravity. Is yours normal? Depends on where you are in the healing process. Try rice method.
