Don't over trim: Keep the corners/edges of the nail very close to the end of the toe, so it cannot 'dive' into skin and cause pain & infection. Takes a few--several months to re-train nail once right length. Don't cut too short.

Ingrown: Always cut toenails straight across and never into the corners. Don't try bathroom surgery if u have one. Wear proper fitting shoes and avoid trauma to nail. See podiatrist if you have one.
