Great Question!: The length of therapy is debatable among the experts. There are some other factors that come into play in regards to the presence of any highly abnormal cells on biopsy or not. Some patients may wish to consider anti-reflux surgery as well. Multiple options but i'm not sure anyone here can give you a straight answer on that one.

Maybe: You could have a ph study off medication to seteone whether or not your actually having a symptomatic reflux, and that could help guide your decision. I would say a 48 hour bravo study would be best. This is a small sensor attached to your esophagus that wirelessly sends information about acid reflux to a small pager like device your carry with you. Hope this helps.
