Rest may not be enuf: From your history, it sounds like you are developing an lateral ankle instability. While rice (rest compress ice and elevation) will help relieve the immediate injury, it will not fix lax ligaments, which develop with repeated injuries. Look into wearing a good stirrup ankle brace and get an MRI to evaluate the competency of your lateral ankle ligaments.

I would not only : Rest, i would have it examined. I would also have that foot in an ankle brace any time you are walking.

Multiple sprains: Someone with multiple sprains indications an instability problem and may need further testing (mri, etc) to determine if you need a definitive procedure for repair of ankle ligaments. As an athlete, you need to decide whether it's worth getting a surgical opinion now or wait (which could lead to a bigger procedure).
