Tonsils: You just had surgery into your tongue. It may be coincidental, but don't risk a systemic (whole body) infection and have it checked out by a dentist or an M.D.

Infection?: It may be tonsillitis and you should have it checked by your doctor.It may or may not be related to tongue piercing as long as there is no pain in tongue.
