More info?: We would need more information: what were the '6 tests'? Did you have a biopsy? Culture? Blood tests? All done by the same doctor? What type of doctor\dentist? We also would need to know your complete medical history. Sometimes it's hard enough having that all in front of you. Certainly impossible over the internet to give you a good answer. Have you seen an oral surgeon? Oral pathologist?

Any ideas why a healthy 48yo male would have a thumbnail-sized red patch on tip of tongue for about 2 months? The only symptoms - burning feeling in the mouth and smooth papilae at the tip. Candida test came back negative and no sores are present?
