Claritin (loratadine): I see you have asthma, Claritin will not help with that, you need an inhaler. Claritin will only help if the cough is from post nasal drip from nasal allergies, it may dry it up a bit.

Possibly: If the cough is from post-nasal drips in a condition known as upper airway cough syndrome, Claritin (loratadine) may possibly help. However if it does not work, you will need to see your doctor to find out the cause for your cough which is more likely related to your asthma.
