Yes: Yes, some people can have silent heart attacks. These may be found on ekg's & stress tests, where the changes indicate damage to heart muscle but the patient does not recall any episodes of chest pain or other symptoms connected with heart disease -- like passing out, shortness or breath, swollen ankles, etc.
