Cold and Foot Pain: I wish i knew. What are the possibilities for cold body temperature to foot pain? I can think of some vascular variation like raynaud's which could affect a foot that had previous frostbite as a young child. Also, the nervous system is affected by cold. She could have some sympathetic overload to that foot which would cause vaso-constriction (ischemic pain) when she gets cold. Old foot injury?

Raynauds: Exposure to cold causes the small vessels to constrict blood flow, toes turn blue/purple hurt and sometimes blister.

See a vascular doc: The condition can be related to something local or systemic. There are some conditions that are local in the peripheral vascular system that can have spasms and result in a type of raynaud's phenomenon. There are also diseases that are more serious that may need additional consultation with hematology (as in cryoglobulinemia). These things have to be ruled out. See the doc!
