Non traumatic ?: There are many different causes of foot swelling. One sided and involving a younger individual can be to one of several possibilities. A thorough history and examination are needed to get started. Not knowing what has been done already makes answering problematic. I suggest you get a second opinion from an orthopedic surgeon of foot specialist.

Foot swelling: More history is needed, if the swelling is on one side or both feet. Is it towards the evening or when she gets up in the morning. Is there any pain with the swelling or discoloration. Good diagnosis can be made after a visit. Possible cause arthritis and circulatory problem o

Foot swelling: One foot or both? How old is she? Any history of trauma? Pain? Change in color, texture? Any general medical problems? Has she seen a podiatrist or her medical doctor?
