My daughter hurt her knee (running) now walking her foot turns blue leg gets ice cold unless we elevate it for a while. knee was hurting but feels mostly better now. just the above symptoms when she walks. dr. said come back if continues?

This is worrisome. It suggests that the muscles deep in the leg are swelling to the point they cut down blood flow to the leg/foot. I would have her seen by a sports medicine doc or orthopedic surgeon. If it happens again & she is in pain take her to the ER during the event & ask them to arrange for ortho to see her.
