Dry mouth: There are many hopeful treatments for your predicament . They may be symptoms from more than one problem, but decreased salivary output(dry mouth) can cause redness of gum tissue and hypersensitivity of the teeth. Try a sugarless gum and sugarless hard candies, preferably containing xylitol may help to decrease the sensivity. Also, sensodyne toothpaste used 4 times a day will help. See a M.D. 2.
