A member asked:

Can laproscopy unblock my tubes and what does proximal obstruction mean are my tubes totally blocked?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Possibly : If adhesions are causing the blockage then laparoscopy can take those down. Adhesion can, however, come back but less likely if done with laparoscopically. Proximal refers to near the origin of structure ( as oppose to distal, away from the origin of the structure). In terms of total blockage, i can't help u as this can only be determined by ur gyn with imaging. Good luck.
