Yes and no: They received immune factors from their mother during pregnancy that acheive higher/lb amounts than mother has herself.They can also receive IgA in breast milk that acts to preven germs from attaching to babies insides and causing infections.Yet this is temporary and will fade over 2-3mo.Their system does not hold on to stimulation by shots well, so many doses are neeeded the 1st yr.
