What type of tendonitis treatment do you recommend?

NSAIDs and rest: Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories such as Ibuprofen and rest. Once you return to activity, gentle stretching exercises are important. Steroid injections are a bad idea as they can weaken the tendon, possibly leading to more serious problems, such as tendon rupture.

RICE: Rest, ice, compression, elevation. This is the standard conservative treatment for tendonitis. You may benefit from otc anti-inflammatory medications as well.
